Mike grew up in Scotland, moved to the US in 2000, and now calls Colorado home. He’s been a competitive cyclist racing throughout the UK, USA, and Mexico, won 4 US national championships, and a UCI master world championship in 2018. Professionally, He is a licensed architect and spent his career working in architecture, construction management, and real estate development. During his first year of studying architecture at university he produced a few F1 sketches. but moved on….Over the subsequent two decades he barely touched a paintbrush other than walls in the house, or the fence. When Covid-19 appeared and Work From Home became standard practice in early 2020 he decided to tackle a painting to maintain his sanity. When he posted a progress photo of the Verstappen painting on Reddit (r/formula1) within 12 hours it had more than 7,000 upvotes. This was the eureka moment. The following weekend he was selling professional prints and hasn’t looked back.
